Houston Haitian Health

This project is a 2024-25 initiative that seeks to create a healthier and more sustainable community by assessing health needs and leveraging the existing assets within the Haitian population living in Harris County, Texas. By partnering with Haitian residents and leaders, we aim to identify key health needs and assets using a mixed-method, community-based participatory research approach. The data gathered in this study will serve as a foundation for developing culturally sensitive, public health programs, policies, and services to enhance health outcomes for the Haitian community.
