We heard you! The community is coming back together again, and this time we're talking diabetes and healthier living. ON Saturdays July 18 and 25, 2026, the Houston Haitian Health Collaborative is hosting "Bon Sante Ansanm". These two event is a continuation of something we started building as a community. Last year, we came together with community members to dream about what healthier living (Bon Sante) could look like for our families and our neighbors. This year, we're turning that shared vision into action. Join us to craft a shared plan for healthier living in the Houston Haitian community.
Why this matters
Diabetes and other chronic health conditions affect our community at disproportionate rates, yet Haitian voices are too often missing from the data, the research, and the decisions that shape public health programs in Houston. This workshop is about changing that.
What to expect
We'll work together to:
Identify the real barriers our community faces around diabetes prevention and wellness
Help craft a health program designed with the Haitian community and our culture in mind
Build community connection and kè kontan (joy) along the way
Plus, enjoy:
🍽️ FREE, delicious Haitian food💙 Diabetes prevention resources and information from our local partners
We would like to extend a big thank you to Yahweh Adoration Center and First Haitian Church of God of Houston for providing a safe and familiar space for the community to gather. Stay tuned to see what we learn and what we are able to build together!
